The rules and regulations for the Education Freedom Tax Credit have officially been published by the U.S. Department of the Treasury, bringing this new scholarship opportunity one step closer to launch in January 2027.
As we move toward launch, Step Up, Step Further will be breaking down what the new Education Freedom Tax Credit means.
Eligible families can receive scholarships to help cover educational resources their students need, with the potential to combine these scholarships with existing Florida scholarship opportunities.
Schools can access ongoing Education Freedom Tax Credit resources and work alongside a partner focused on supporting students, families and long-term school success.
Eligible taxpayers can support student scholarships while receiving a dollar-for-dollar federal tax credit of up to $1,700, or $3,400 for married taxpayers filing jointly.
Families. Schools. Businesses. Community organizations. Philanthropic partners.
As the January 2027 launch approaches, we will continue to share what you need to know, answer questions and help you understand how this amazing opportunity can benefit you.
This is more than a new scholarship. It is a new opportunity to expand access to educational resources for K-12 students across Florida.
